Hello and Thank You!

Hello, everyone! It’s been awhile since I blogged, and for that I apologize. Emi is a lot better at keeping up with this kind of thing. That’s one reason we’re such good partners! 🙂

I wanted to thank everyone who bought a copy of my book and for all the great comments that I have received. I sent a copy to my mom in the U.S., many students have copies here in Japan, and I’m sending a copy to the illustrator in South Africa this week. It’s exciting to think where this book will go and who will read it! Next Monday, I’ll make two 30-minute presentations at the elementary school on the naval base in Sasebo. A total of 240 students will attend. Some of them are going to buy the book, so….who knows where Hermie will end up!!

We’ve donated a few books around Omura. You might see one at the Starbucks, in a children’s clinic or the library. Hermie gets around.

This is my favorite season in Japan. You might see me walking, or, if I’m feeling very energetic, you might see me running (slowly). I usually walk around midnight for an hour or so. Sometimes I get out in the daytime, when the weather is nice. If you see me, please beep your horn and wave. Maybe you’ll give me some energy!

I hope that all of you have a wonderful week and that you have the chance to get outside and enjoy the weather before the humidity sets in. I’ll “blog” you soon!

Jeff
