Christmas Spirit!

Here we are, just a week until Christmas! Admittedly, Christmas in Japan is very different from Christmas in the United States, but it’s still a great time of year. At this point, in America, people are getting pretty burned out on carols, shopping, and the stress of gift wrapping.

I was disappointed this week when my CD player stopped working. I’ve only had it for about 6 months! I guess that’s what happens when you buy a cheap model. Maybe I’ve learned a lesson. Maybe I’ll have to ask Santa for a new one!

I had to go out late tonight and buy envelopes for class. It was misty, and I know that it was just a couple of degrees too warm for snow. I haven’t seen a snowflake yet this year, and if I don’t see any for the rest of the year, I’ll be fine. If we DO get some snow….come see my snowman!

Emi and I will be on FM Omura on Christmas evening. Our friend, Satoshi, has kindly agreed to have us back. I don’t know what we’re going to talk about, but it will be an interesting hour. If you don’t have anything better to do, why don’t you tune in?

The Christmas party is set for SeaHat at 2 p.m., December 23rd. I’m looking forward to it. We’ll have games, prizes, and maybe even a visit from St. Nick. Be sure to have your picture taken with the jolly fat man!

Have a great week, everyone! Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!
