Staying close to the heaters!

Hi, everyone! It sure is cold, isn’t it? We have the heaters running in the classroom. The good news is that winter is about half over, don’t you think? If we can make it through January and February, winter is basically finished.

Emi and I are trying to get some exercise, most evenings. We like to walk toward Starbucks coffee shop. Sometimes we stop before we get there and turn around. I bought a couple of pedometers by internet, and they tell us how many steps we took, how far we walked, etc. Pedometers help us stay motivated! If you pass two people, one tall and one petite, walking along Route 34 late at night, it just might be us. 🙂

This week I received a Kindle book reader from America. Amazon sells them and they are incredible! They connect to the internet wirelessly and you can download books (630,000 to choose from) in under a minute. I bought the latest Stephen King novel. He’s my favorite author. With the Kindle, I don’t have to pay to have books shipped from America. Lucky me!

My picture book is getting closer to completion. The illustrator has about eight more pages to go. She’s working on the book cover, now. I’ll keep you updated. I can’t wait to give one to my mom. She’s always been a reader, and I think she’ll be proud of me even if I don’t sell one book!

Well…it’s late, my cup of tea is empty, and I need to get some sleep. I hope you all have a wonderful week. February is just around the corner!

Good night!
Jeff
