FeaturesThis book uses katakana words that are used in Japanese and introduces the correct English word or English pronunciation of the word for each. This is a lot of fun and increases vocabulary at the same time. You can play many games using the activity cards (sold separately). We have chosen 178 words that are familiar to primary-school-age children in Japan and made chants out of them. The CD can be used to practice repeatedly with music. In this way, students will understand the unique sounds or accents in the English language. There are many fun discoveries to be made throughout the book.
By writing down their own discoveries, students can make an original word chart. The title is widely used in elementary school English classes as an easy introduction and warm-up. It is often used at home as a fun picture dictionary.
★ You can easily compare the difference in pronunciations between English and Japanese.
★ The rhythm of the chant makes it fun and easy to practice.
★ You can learn the original words that the katakana words came from.
A CD-ROM is also available. An iPhone app is available at the iTunes Store, too.
